Our Story
Four Generations on Eleuthera
Our grandparents on Winding Bay — where it all began
In 1962, our family made their first trip to the Bahamas and fell in love with Eleuthera — a sliver of island where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean and time moves to a different rhythm. Home to the pink sand beaches of Harbour Island and the charming village of Spanish Wells, Eleuthera is one of the Caribbean’s best-kept secrets. A few years later, our grandfather purchased oceanfront land at Winding Bay and built a home on what he called the finest beachfront building site in the world.
The shoreline remains unchanged — the same crescent of turquoise water, the same Atlantic breeze through the palms, the same magic that drew our grandfather here over sixty years ago.
Hightide is staffed by a dedicated team — a butler, a private chef, a housekeeper, a personal driver, and a private boat captain — because we believe the best vacations are the ones where you never have to think about logistics.
